The OnePlus 12R, identified by the model number CPH2609 in the NBTC database, has appeared. While the listing does not confirm any specific features of the smartphone, it highlights that all preparations have been made before the launch. It’s worth noting that the smartphone is scheduled to be unveiled on January 23.
Roland Quandt, known for leaks in the industry, recently revealed the design of the affordable flagship OnePlus 12R. According to him, the smartphone will continue the brand’s design tradition. It will feature a hole-punch display design and a circular camera setup on the back, housing three sensors and an LED flash. Additionally, the device will come in blue and black colors.
As is common among Chinese brands, there’s speculation that the OnePlus 12R may be a rebranded global version of the recently launched Ace 3. This means that while the names and designs of the smartphones may differ, they will essentially have the same technical specifications. However, there are indications of some technical differences, especially in the camera department.
The device will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel will also offer a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The 4nm architecture chipset includes 1x 3.36 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, and 3x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores, along with an Adreno graphics unit.
On the back, there will be a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel IMX890 primary sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, there will be a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
